Liturgy of the Word For Children

Liturgy of the Word for Children is a ministry to the young children of our parish, ages 3 and up. Children's Liturgy takes place at the 9:00 am Mass each week. It is an opportunity for the children to gather together to listen to and reflect on God's Word in a language that they can easily understand, helping them to discover how the Word of God has meaning in their daily lives.

The basic format is patterned after the regular Liturgy for adults.

The ministry requires a team of presiders scheduled two weeks at a time, approximately four times a year. In addition, we are very fortunate to have a group of youth provide the music each week, teaching the children the responsorial psalm and gospel acclamation.
