Our "Living Lent" Retreat
For all Elementary Religious Education Families


When: Sunday, February 26th
Time: 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Where: Immaculate Conception Church


Come out and enjoy a lovely afternoon of prayer, food & fun! Help prepare a special product that will be used for our project. Once the prep work is complete, the design is then up to you! Let us see how creative you can be!!

Following our afternoon of creativity, we will share in a pot-luck meal.

Wind & Fire: A Confirmation Retreat


The level 10 retreatants explored the rich symbols of wind and fire as away to understand the Holy Spirit. They experienced prayer as a means to draw strength from the Holy Spirit and were invited to be open to the Holy Spirit working in their lives. They enjoyed huddling around God's Word, small and large group discussions, games and an awesome supper prepared by John Doyle and Yvonne Dempsey. Everyone had their hearts purified through the Sacrament of Reconciliation and we then celebrated Eucharist with the rest of our faith community. Through inspiring music from the Youth Choir, quit reflection, and then God's word we realized the Gifts of the Holy Spirit pored out in our daily lives and how this will bear fruit in service as followers of Jesus. We concluded in song, and by gathering with sponsors and parents to practice the Rite of Confirmation.







ADVENT RETREAT 2010




We want to say thank you to all those who participated to the Retreat "I prepare a gift for Jesus" on Saturday, December 11th 2010.

We spent a great afternoon all together with the Lord.
The Children of the Religious Education Program celebrated their faith along with their families and friends. It is always good to work to feed the soul and to build the faith community we belong to.

The Catechists and the Volunteers gave a wonderful testimony of prayer and service in the Church; we really hope that it will leave a deep sign in the children hearts.

We would like to share with you some images of the Retreat. If you'd like, look at them and see what we shared. Maybe next time we will be a bigger number and we will celebrate in an even more joyful way!

Thank You from Religious Education - Grades 7 - 12

Thank you for all those who supported the NET Experience on November 22nd,2011, a special "Thank You" to everyone who prepared the meal for 90 youth. Thank You to the parents, adult and youth leaders who helped organize, facilitate and support this parish event. Thank you to those who inquired and offered to billet members of the NET team, and to those families who opened up their homes for the twelve NET ministers showing our spirit of welcoming.
